Went to Ashley's place last night right after I got back from Lumut... We had a little gathering and some karaoke-ing. Hehe... Ada orang addicted to karaoke sudah iatah ia mau lagi atu. I came late so I went to eat first. Thanks to Mirez and his lady friend for cooking us indomee =) and yea, I was the only girl there after they both left... and again, he left too early! Haha..!

Sudah kanyang, main candles! Haha! We decorated Ashley's place with Zul's old candles. This is just one angle, there were more!

This time, we didn't really sang that much cos we were too busy lighting up the candles and taking a lot of shots. Btw, my flash didn't work that night so I didn't take much shots. I was using Afif's and Ashley's camera most of the time.

After all the candles had melted... Its karaoke time! Haha!

Afif was so into the song... and so were the other guys...

I'll post up more pictures as soon as I got the pictures from Ashley and Afif. Damn you camera flash!

We went to Lumut this morning cos we had tahlil there. Since it's my mom's birthday today... We had a little surprise for her after the function. So anyway, Happy Birthday to my mom, Hjh Anita! Love you ma.. My prayers to you for good health and a more prosperous and joyful journey ahead! Amiin..~

Actually its 40 + 1.... An error on the cake there... =)

Okay, since I'm doing physical education, I would have expect a lot of physical activities that I'll be doing. Yesterday we had a mini orientation for first year students doing physical education. We were divided into four groups namely 'Aman', 'Bahagia', 'Ceria' and lastly, the group I'm in, 'Dinamik'. The activities were fun and we even had tug of war. My team won... twice! And we also won overall! Woohoo! Too bad I didn't bring my camera so, sorry folks... no picture.

Today, we learned.. guess what? How to blow the whistle! It was funny...really. Did you know that drill in malay is called 'asas tubi'? Hehe... yeah, we learned that as well as 'ansur maju' =) We played volleyball a little and most of us really never played volleyball ever before and that includes myself. Ok, I really had no idea how you play it so we just did it our way... This is how my hand looks like after a couple 'hard slap like' effect on my hand.

Little red dots emerged on my hand all of a sudden! I never seen those on me ever before so I was like.. "Oh shit! What the heck are those??!" saying it with a paranoid + surprised + trying to get people's attention look and tone of voice. Hmm... Thank goodness it's basketball next week.

Damn it! I'm suppose to be in KL this weekend but since I'm still trying to make good impression on my lecturers, I can't skip class yet. At least not until I learn the behaviour or character of my lecturers =) Oh well, I'll just go in November. That I can't miss for sure!

Weddings...

Congratulations to the newlyweds!

Yamin & Sharfa on the famous 8th of August 08

and...My cousin, Khairul and his wife on the 10th of August 08!

I'm soooo into this Beijing Olympics! I have Olympics fever! Haha... Ok, so I haven't watched the full opening ceremony... Yea, I missed it for some karaoke.. Hehe, but I will watch the rerun. I couldn't find the full video on the opening ceremony on YouTube due to copyright matters... So, here are some pictures I got from the official website...

The fireworks display...

Yao Ming, the flagbearer for China.

One of the spectacular performances.

Birds eye view of one of the performances.

The Olympic rings.

Hmm... I soooo wanna be in Beijing right now. I wanna watch the games... I'm waiting for hockey and softball... But I'm also watching other events as well.

The official website for the 2008 Beijing Olympics is here.

Go Brunei! Haha... It's too bad that we have no athletes participating... Hmm...

Yay! Finally, the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics...! Ashley had a barbecue at his place last night and a few of us went there...

Nah, my barbecued chicken and sausages... We had to do it ourselves. It was either do it sendiri or starve! Haha..

Afif's manggo juice promo shot...

Unfortunately, ONE of us got bored and switched the Olympics opening ceremony for some karaoke session!

Eventually, almost everyone including myself forgot about the olympics opening ceremony and just went with the flow... I mean look at that picture, we were so into it. I totally had forgotten about the olympics.

Mr.Mirez with his camera... shooting a cat.. =)

Hadi.. saving those chickens from burning! Hehe..

Our chef, Ashley... Hmm.. the flame is a little bit big for BBQ-ing don't you think ash?

Hehe...it was fun even though I missed the opening ceremony! Thanks for the place Ash..!

More pictures here.

Before the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics, I went to Lumut today morning with my family for my cousin's engagement...

Nyums... My favourite!

Putting the ring on...

...one of the ads aired on astro for the Beijing Olympics 2008.

Here's another one but I haven't seen it on tv yet... But its still awesome..

2 more days til the Beijing Olympics!!

Its my first day in UBD today... I finally met all the people I'm gonna be seeing for the next three years today! Hehe... We didn't have any class today but we met some of the lecturers to sort out our time table for this semester. We were wandering around SHBIE, exploring the unexplored territories of UBD. Ouch, my feet hurts! Hehe... Tomorrow, another day...!

Oh, more pictures on the second day of orientation can be found here. Its from the UBD library site...

Finally, the last day of orientation. I was pretty excited because we were finally grouped into our respective faculties and into smaller groups of different courses. We had an online course registration after that and again it was inefficient but I was lucky enough to skip the super long queue and finish everything early so I had an extra hour of sleep in between before the next briefing at 2.30pm.

Excited to finish orientation...

Speech by guest of honor.

Officially a 'mahasiswa/mahasiswi'.

Bye bye black skirt and black school shoes =)

Orientation over.. Semester 1 for academic year 2008/2009 begins...

UBD Challenge

Had to wake up super early this morning for the first ever UBD challenge. Its a part of the orientation... Enough talk. Let's see the pictures...

Aerobic session... Haha it was kinda silly. I wouldn't call it an aerobic cos they didn't have any aerobic moves. Just some silly dance moves... Check out the video below.

Purple house, Kembura =) I'm in this group.

My team, 'Kembura Bini'. Haha... One of the challenges that we had to do was to eat ambuyat! Easy for me =)

Back at chancellor hall... Makan time.. The last picture weren't candid at all.. Fake pose! Haha... Btw, ngalih si maryam atu usulnya.. Haha! Btw, our team 'Kembura Bini' manage to complete the challenge on time! Woohoo...

Here's the "aerobic" video... Enjoy! Haha...

Okay... so it's day two of orientation. More briefing... as expected. Since I'm lazy to type, I'll just post up some pictures. When I have the time, I'll upload all of the photos to picasa... As for now, enjoy these...

Some of the former MS guys.

Library tour.

I went out for lunch with a friend to Le Stadium in rimba. The food was kinda nice. Not bad...

Hehe... You can tell by our faces that we were bored. Actually we were posing for this shot... It wasn't candid. We just wanted to express how we felt through our expressions.

It's A Holiday!

To all the Muslims, selamat menyambut isra' mikraj.. Hope you guys enjoy your break. I went to gym today with Ka Wana. We went to Zunic at Batu 1. I went for a walk in session which costs $8... Hmm...the gym is kinda nice compared to the IBB gym in Bandar but they have a private swimming pool which I like. Zunic is pretty simple. Everything is located at one floor. The gym, rooms for classes, office, changing rooms... all on one floor. They have a lot of machines there so you don't have to fight with some fit wannabe person... I like the changing room too... They have sauna in the changing room.

I tried this machine...I don't know what it's called but it might be called a strider. Tried it for 10 minutes and when I got down, I swear I almost fainted. I couldn't see clearly and it was kind of dark, the sound was getting softer and I felt really weird. I was about to throw up as well but then Ka Wana told me to rest so I did. I don't know what happened cos I never felt like that before... not even when I'm really tired. Anyway, I was fine after I got my rest and then continued making my $8 worth... Hehe... You can check out their website at www.zunicwellness.com to learn more about the gym but I think the website is under construction for the time being.

Oh, on the way to the car guess what I saw? The new Nissan GT-R... One of the most talked about car in Brunei at the moment. I'm not much of a car enthusiast but that car really got me talking. Sweet...~

Nice huh..? I couldn't resist but to actually took a picture of this car... =)

By the way, I thought I'd post up a video on Isra' Mikraj to commemorate this day so here goes... A simple summary on the event Isra Mi'raj...
